YEA.105 – Enemy Death Transform

This script was made mostly for more flexible battle utility. Sometimes I felt like bosses with multiple forms are better off transforming upon HP reaching 0 or whatnot (aka death). The transition makes it easier to create bosses like Persona 3′s final boss and even let enemies have multiple “life bars” that must be depleted to be killed.

And so Nessiah requested this script a while ago, here’s the script to cause a map’s parallax to lock to specific methods. This can be used for either events, cutscenes, parallax mapping, etc. Enjoy!

And so, I’ve decided to announce that I’m going to be taking a break from making scripts for RPG Maker VX Ace. While it may have been apparent for those who have been following my blog (as they may have noticed that no new scripts have been added for a while), I may as well make it an official announcement. It’s not so much that I’m bored with RPG Maker VX Ace or tired of it, it’s probably more so that I’ve burned myself out after the initial 100+ script rush made within months of the RPG Maker VX Ace Trial. I’ll probably return back to the scripting scene later after I think I’ve rested enough. But with all the great scripters within the English community such as Yami, Kread-EX, Modern Algebra, Fomar, Atoa, Khas and more, I think you guys wouldn’t have a problem with me gone at all, haha.

I’ll be still updating this blog whenever I make updates to scripts and to post random fun stuff~ Until then, happy RPG Making!

Hello everyone!

Yanfly is still on vacation but he gave me access to his blog. The purpose is mostly so we can apply bug fixes in his stead. But since I don’t get any notifications for comments and don’t have the time to check each page 1 by 1. Please report bugs in here for the meantime. Yami will be assisting us all the way. :)

Hello guys, the older one has already reached 51 comments and confusing “bug” reports. So here’s a fresh clean one.

Please report any bugs here. We cannot guarantee that we can make other scripts compatible with non Yami or Yanfly scripts, please try asking the author of the other script instead. There’s a large chance they’re still active!

We are …flooded right now with other things, please understand this is the reason why we don’t have time to make things compatible or check the script you’re using, yet, I think.

Please list the scripts you are using when asking us for a bug fix, unless you’re 100% sure that it’s this scripts fault! (The best way to know is test it in an empty project).  I don’t get any notifications for comments and don’t have the time to check each page 1 by 1. Please report bugs in here for the meantime.

Since not a lot of people are aware of this issue, when you get this error:

You will need the following scripts to fix it. This is a VXAce default error!
Put them by this order. It can be below or above core engine.

Mithran’s Text Cache Fix
Lonewolf’s Custom Font Junk Symbol Fix
Mezzolan’s Arrow Fix (Put this below Victory Aftermath if you’re using that.)

I blended classic Zelda and dark science fiction and drank the ensuing mixture. It was Radio the Universe.

Players will feel aesthetic and gameplay influences from titles like Yume Nikki, Symphony of the Night, Hotline Miami, and Dark Souls, with a tinge of 2D JRPGs thrown into the mix.

RtU is a challenging and atmospheric sci-fi game with SNES-style visuals and a sinister, offbeat narrative.

Hello everyone,

I noticed in some comments a lot are still talking to Yanfly and not following the previous Bug Fixes post requirements. So I will reiterate once again, Yanfly is still on Hiatus. For now here’s some fix.

Please report any bugs here, if you post in the individual script pages, they’re going to get ignored. Unless you want me to disable the page comments, I guess.

Let’s try this again, but this time with a format! Please follow this format when giving out Bug Reports.

  • Description of the bug. Make sure to note HOW it happens and try to emulate it as much as possible.
  • List of scripts used. This is important! If you use Victor’s scripts, then it’s a given Yanfly scripts won’t work due to low compatibility.
  • Did you test it in a fresh new project? If no, then try at a new project first.
  • Did you load a save and encountered the bug there? If yes, then start a new game and see if the problem persists.
  • Did you check Yanfly’s Core first for bug fixes list? Is the bug mentioned there? If yes, then grab that script.
  • Did you read the features of the script first before assuming it’s not working like what you thought it would? If no, then read.
  • Did you try putting the script above/below other/certain scripts first? Give it a try, it might just fix it.
  • Give us a demo if possible. No need for the entire game, but just the area where it bugs out.

Hopefully this will make the bug fixing easier for everyone.

Script Updates

  • Ace Equip Engine  – Yami fixed a bug where the list doesn’t refresh when selecting a new slot.
  • Victory Aftermath Version 1.04 –  Updated to v1.04. Fixed a bug where if the battle ends with a stat buff/debuff, it will display the wrong parameters.
  • Swap Order Fix for Party System – If you want to use the script call $game_party.swap_order(n,n)
  • State Animations v1.01 – Some of the animations have been using the same reference count which results to cancelling the animation.
  • Area of Effect Add-on – Allows you to use only one animation on one target in a <one animation> spell
  • How to fix this bug?
    Go to line 312 and 313 and look for these:
    :add_buff   => “%s{“,      # Appears when a positive buff is applied.
    :add_debuff => “%s|”,      # Appears when a negative buff is applied.
    Just retype %s but don’t add { or |. There’s an invisible letter between %s{ that you can’t see unless you can see Japanese text.

Inspirational

Hi there! For those who don’t know, we have reached our monthly limit in dropbox. Hopefully, by the next two days, the limit will be restarted. Not sure how it was even possible to reach the quota with just text and .rb files but nonetheless. Some of them still work since they’re hosted in my dropbox and I have a plan installed in it. I am also in the process of providing Pastebin links. I added them one by one per page, but for those who wants to see the whole thing, you can grab them over the following links:

All script pages (all 106 mind you) have Github Mirror Links now because for some reason, some people don’t read the front page OR can’t find script files even when they’re there.
